A gas phase separator (pressurised tank) is equipped with a liquid nitrogen level sensor (4/20 mA). When the level falls below a programmable threshold ( 20%), filling begins. The S330.smartFill V01 opens the main solenoid valve until the liquid nitrogen level reaches e.g. 80% (programmable threshold). A mechanical vent valve maintains a constant pressure inside the tank. If a very high or very low level is reached, an alarm is signalled. Optionally, the value of the internal pressure can be read and adjusted at the S330.smartFill. During filling, an internal relay can be used to open the main solenoid valve of the external tank.
In combination with the S330.smartFill V01 device, the S140-LTE telephone dialer, using the GSM network, allows alarm conditions to be notified via voice calls, SMS and email. In the event of too-low or too-high phase separator level alarms, or in the event of a 'fill time out' alarm, system managers will be promptly notified of the anomaly.
