Cryogenic tank telemetry is a critical application to efficiently monitor and manage cryogenic liquids such as liquid nitrogen or liquid oxygen. These tanks are used in both the medical and industrial fields. Monitoring via the GSM network makes it possible to supervise the level, pressure and temperature, sending alarm signals (via SMS, voice messages, email) when critical thresholds are exceeded.
A medical device from the SINTESY.eagle family that is able to implement multiple functions including the measurement of physical quantities such as pressures, levels, temperatures and alarm contacts. The device complies with the EN7396-1 standard. The module uses a standard SIM card that allows voice calls, SMS and email to be sent when an alarm condition is detected so that operators are promptly alerted of the potentially dangerous situation. The S140-LTE works as an efficient datalogger: its internal memory can store over 10,000 data and 1,000 events such as network absence, alarm detected, alarm returned, telemetry connections or alarm calls sent. Via the GSM network, the data stored at regular intervals (e.g. every 15 minutes) are sent in bulk to the SINTESY Server (e.g. every 4-6 hours) so that they can be consulted using a common browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Explorer. The sampling times and the sending times to the server can be configured to suit each individual requirement.
The medical device-certified software developed by SINTESY for storing and managing the data collected by the multiple S140-LTE modules installed on various plants, both at home and abroad. Operators can easily access all information, create graphs and tables and export data in Excel (XLS or CSV) format. In the event of an alarm, the S140-LTE module sends pre-recorded messages to operators and immediately sends the latest recorded data to the server. Operators, from their office, can then immediately connect to the web portal to remotely analyse the status of the system and establish countermeasures to bring the system back to normal conditions.
