The SINTESY S114 module is a device used to convert temperature into a 4/20mA signal.
The temperature is detected by RTD probes such as PT100 and PT1000.
Either the 3-wire or 2-wire connection can be used. The 3-wire connection is normally used when the probe is far away from the S114 module. The third wire is used to compensate cable resistance caused by its length, which could affect the accuracy of the reading. The 2-wire connection is used when the probe is placed close to the S114 module.
Inside the S114 module is a circuit that linearizes the typical curve of RTD probes, be they PT100 or PT1000.
The device is available in the following versions:
S114-1 PT100 probe to 4/20mA signal; Range -200°C/+50°C;
S114-2 PT1000 probe to 4/20mA signal; Range -200°C/+50°C;
S114-3 – PT100 probe to 4/20mA signal; Range 0°C/+100°C;
S114-4 – PT1000 probe to 4/20mA signal; Range 0°C/+100°C;
S114-5 – PT100 probe to 4/20mA signal; with range -100°C / + 50°C
S114-6 – PT1000 probe to 4/20mA signal; with range -100°C / +50°C
S114-7 – PT100 probe to 4/20mA signal; with range -20°C / +60°C
