The S170 is a medical device designed to monitor and control the level of liquid nitrogen (LN2) in cryogenic freezers and read the temperature inside them.
The device consists of two different units: the base module and the operator terminal. he base module is connected to the mains power supply, the solenoid valves, the probes and the lid microswitch, determining the correct operation of the cryogenic freezer. The operator terminal is connected to the base via a simple cable and is typically mounted in the front of the cryogenic freezer or inside the same box as the base unit.
The main functions are:
- Detection of liquid nitrogen level inside cryogenic freezers
- Temperature measurement (sampled at two different points)
- Display of temperatures, level and alarms via backlit LCD display
- Automatic filling: on low level/high temperature
- Manual filling
- Alarm detection and control
- Lid status detection (with defog, fast freeze and time-out function)
- Hot gas by-pass function (optional)
- Remote control of all functions via RS485
- Full compatibility with other SINTESY.eagle® devices
- Datalogger for temperature, level and event recording
